You may have heard that Guelph will be entertaining a very special guest on Monday evening at the Delta Hotel on Stone Rd.
We would be sour hosts indeed if we didn't drop Stephen Harper a visit when his campaign trail brings him SO close to our campus.
We've just told Canada that we're voting (http://goo.gl/MqIPu), but try as I might, I can't seem to get the word out to Steve! Inbox is full, I presume.
This will not do.

On Monday, April 4th, please meet us in the UC Courtyard where we will give instructions to the welcome wagon. There, we will form a MARCHING BAND, and head over to the Delta to say, "Surprise! Students ARE voting."
Mr. Harper (and the BUSLOAD of journos on the trail) will never expect it! Hopefully, students across the country will throw him similar parties when he stops by!
Marching bands are led by samba crews and banners and dancers and seeing-eye dogs and clowns and everything fun. We need to have the best marching band ever.
***Please post on the wall what you are bringing to the party! Be creative, but also remember that we need to be positive if we want to get anywhere near the Delta. Don't give anyone a reason to think you're up to no good.***
Furthermore, invite all of your friends IN PERSON this weekend. No one reads facebook invites, and we REALLY want to impress Steve.
Come to the UC dressed up in whatever you would wear to a surprise party! Red and white would look nice, but don't stop there. Party hats, hilarious costumes, moustaches, etc. - all encouraged! Let your patriotism shine.
We will need some assistance in preparing the major banners.
