In the 2008 national election, youth voter turnout hit an all-time low. We want to make sure that the voices of the youth are heard in this year’s election. What better way to do this than to unite and show our politicians and the rest of Canada that we are engaged and our voices will be heard in this year’s election!

Currently, Vote Mobs (http://www.leadnow.ca/en/vote-mobs) are taking Canadian universities by storm. Let’s make sure that Regina’s youth are not overlooked.

Join us for some fun and excitement on Wednesday, April 20th - we’ll be meeting at 12:15 in the Riddel Centre at the U of R (right by Common Ground), and hitting the Green from 12:30 to 1:00 (more info to follow). An easy, peasy half-hour commitment is all it takes to make a HUGE impact and let the country know WE VOTE!

We highly encourage you to bring signs that highlight what is important to you in this election (we’ll have supplies there, too!) and to wear your favourite Canadian garb (flags, jerseys, light up maple-leaf headgear, etc.), but please no political party gear.

Let’s go out and show the country how passionate Regina’s youth are about exercising our right to vote! Spread the word – the more people we have, the greater the impact we’ll make!

Get into it! Vote on May 2nd!

Please let us know if you have any ideas on how to make this an even bigger success. We are currently looking to finalize a song for our video, as well as looking for volunteers to film this incredible event! Send us a message if you are interested in helping with logistics.
