"This time around, do the unexpected. Take 20 minutes out of your day and do what young people all over the world are dying to do. VOTE." - Rick Mercer
Inspired by the many VOTE MOB's that have taken place across this country after Rick Mercer's call for youth involvement this election, Kelowna youth have decided to organize their own video, showcasing their determination to have their voices heard on May 2.
Following in the steps of the University of Guelph and the University of Victoria, Kelowna youth are here to show everyone that voting isn't something complicated or frightening, but rather an amazing way to tell the leaders of this nation how important youth are to democracy in Canada.
On April 21st, come down to City Park in Kelowna (down by the Sails) and tell the leaders of this nation that we will not sit idly back, but we will VOTE this election!
Wear your most Canadian outfits, RED MITTENS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!, bring any noise makers you have, Canadian flags, or anything bright and fun that will grab the attention of the political leaders saying that youth are VOTING on May 2nd!
Canada needs youth to stand up this election and VOTE! It could change the face of politics in the country forever, forcing the governments to listen to us! Be apart of that change!
